Wanderer (Free) vs. Master (Pro) — what each plan includes

Side-by-side: what you get on Free, what unlocks on Pro, and how to decide.

Two plans: Wanderer (Free) and Master (Pro). Free is genuinely useful — it’s not a 7-day trial — but Pro unlocks the longer durations and the materials upload that most committed learners want. Here’s the full breakdown.

At a glance

Free is for casual exploration: one short trail per day, on any topic. Pro is for serious learners who want longer trails and the ability to bring their own materials.

  • Free: $0 forever, 1 trail/day, 1-hour duration only, no materials upload, no mid-flight discard.
  • Pro: $19.99/month or $14.99/month annual ($179/year). 2 trails/day, all durations (1H/1D/1W/1M), 5 materials per trail (10 MB each), discard whenever.

What "1 trail per day" really means

On Free, you can create one trail per 24-hour rolling window. Curated trails from Explore don’t count toward the limit — only ones you generate yourself.

On Pro, the limit is two creations per day, plus a separate cap of two 1-month trails per calendar month (because they’re much more expensive to generate).

Durations — the big Pro unlock

Free is capped at 1-hour trails (~5–7 modules). That’s plenty for casual learning, but if you want to spend a week on something or build a 30-day curriculum, you need Pro.

  • 1 hour — Free + Pro
  • 1 day — Pro only
  • 1 week — Pro only
  • 1 month — Pro only (max 2 per calendar month)

Materials — your private context

Pro lets you upload PDFs, notes, and documents that the AI reads and uses to build your trail. The materials are private to your account and not used to train any AI model.

Examples: feed it a chapter to revise for an exam, your team’s onboarding doc to build a junior-dev trail, or your meeting notes to brief someone who missed it.

Discard mid-flight

On Free, once you start a generated trail, it’s "committed" — you can’t discard it and try again with different inputs. This keeps the cost predictable.

On Pro, you can discard any trail at any time and re-create it. Useful for iterating until the trail is exactly right.

How to decide

Stay on Free if: you’re casually curious, you’re happy with 1-hour trails, and you don’t need to upload your own materials.

Upgrade to Pro if: you have a real learning goal that needs more than an hour, you want to bring your own context, or you find yourself bumping into the daily limit.

You can upgrade or downgrade any time. Downgrade keeps full read access to everything you’ve already created and completed.
