Wanderer (Free) vs. Master (Pro) — what each plan includes

Free lets you learn casually every day: one trail, one quiz, one duel — enough to build a habit. Pro is for committed learners who want longer trails, deeper quizzes, more duels, and the supporting tools (tutor, export, custom profile, streak freeze).

• Pro — $19.99/month or $14.99/month annual ($179/year). 25% saved on annual.

Free creates 1 trail per day, 1-hour duration only, and every Free trail is public (visible on `yoonle.com/u/<your-username>`). Pro unlocks all four durations (1H / 1D / 1W / 1M), bumps the daily cap to 2, adds a separate cap of 2 month-long trails per calendar month (they’re much more expensive to generate), and lets you flip any trail private at create or after.

Free trails are committed once you start them — you can’t discard mid-flight and try again. Pro can discard freely. Pro also unlocks uploading up to 5 PDFs/notes/docs (10 MB each) as private materials the AI reads when building the trail.

Free generates 1 standalone quiz per day, fixed at 5 questions — a quick recall check. Pro creates up to 5 quizzes per day and can pick a question count from 5 (quick check) to 20 (revision drill).

Like trails, Free quizzes are public-only; Pro can flip any quiz private. Both tiers earn XP from quiz scores and keep every attempt in their dashboard forever.

Free generates 1 flash card deck per day, fixed at 10 cards — the daily-warmup sweet spot. Pro creates up to 3 decks per day and can pick a card count of 10, 15, 25, 40, or 60.

Free decks are public-only; Pro can flip any deck private. Both tiers earn XP on first session completion, both keep history forever. Pro can also export any completed deck to Markdown or to an Anki-compatible TSV.

Maps are ordered playlists of references to existing trails, quizzes, and flash card decks — a third primitive next to Trails, Quizzes, and Flash Cards. Free creators get a useful sandbox to plan and bookmark personal roadmaps; Pro unlocks unlimited Maps + the curation extras (cover image upload, custom theme, Map export) that make a Map look and feel like yours.

Both tiers can follow other Explorers’ public Maps for free — the cap only applies to Maps you own.

Duels are head-to-head quiz battles with three modes: Quick Match (random opponent at your level, with optional category filters), Challenge a Friend (someone you follow or any public profile), and Practice (solo runs against a bot, no rank impact). All three modes are available on Free and Pro — the difference is the cap on duels you can start per day.

Sending challenges and accepting incoming duels are always free; only the moment a duel goes live (both sides ready, practice launched) burns a slot. Caps reset midnight UTC. Both dialogs pre-check your remaining starts so you never type a topic to be rejected at submit.

The AI Tutor is an in-context chat that helps you understand a tricky concept without spoiling the answer. Free gets 10 turns per day; Pro gets 30. The budget is shared across all trails and quizzes, with a per-session cap of 10 turns (start a fresh chat for a clean slate).

The tutor sits inside both trail reading modules and quiz attempts — it knows what you’re looking at and tailors its help to it.

• Pro — 30 tutor turns/day, same per-session cap of 10.

Both tiers get a public profile at `yoonle.com/u/<your-username>` with your display name, level, XP, and an avatar (Free picks from the preset library; the auto-generated initials/emoji avatar is the fallback). Pro unlocks the customisation layer: upload your own avatar image OR use your Google/Apple OAuth photo, upload a cover image (or pick from a preset gradient), write a bio (up to 280 characters), and feature up to 6 of your public trails.

Uploaded avatars and covers are automatically screened by Azure AI Content Safety and stored in EU data centres — see the Privacy Policy for the full pipeline.

• Pro — custom avatar (upload or OAuth) · custom cover (image or gradient) · bio up to 280 chars · up to 6 featured trails.

Pro adds three more polish-layer perks: PDF and Markdown export on any completed trail or quiz (the export gate is "100% complete", even for the trail owner); a streak freeze charge granted every 7 active days (hold up to 2) that you tap to rescue your streak the day after a missed day; and the private-visibility toggle on trails and quizzes.

• Pro — trails and quizzes can be marked private or public.

Some things are NOT plan-gated, on purpose. Both tiers keep these forever.

Stay on Free if: you’re curious about a topic, you want a daily habit (1 trail + 1 quiz + 1 duel covers that), and you don’t need exports or a custom-looking public profile.

Upgrade to Pro if: you want longer trails, deeper quizzes, more duels per day, the AI tutor as a real study partner, the ability to export or share your work, or you just want your public profile to look like yours.

You can switch any time. Downgrading keeps lifetime access to everything you’ve already created and completed — it just freezes the new-creation taps to Free limits.
