Account, billing, and plan changes

Sign-in methods, switching plans, what happens when you cancel.

A short reference for everything around your account: how to sign in, change plans, update payment info, cancel cleanly, or delete your account.

How sign-in works

You can sign in two ways: with Google (one click) or with a one-time email code (we send you a 6-digit code that’s valid for 10 minutes). There are no passwords — we don’t store any — which means there’s nothing to forget and nothing to leak.

Both methods land you in the same account. If you originally signed up with Google and want to switch to email-code, just sign in with the email code using the same email — the accounts merge automatically.

Upgrading to Pro

From the dashboard or the upgrade prompt anywhere in the app, click "Upgrade to Pro". You’ll be taken to a Stripe-hosted checkout page where you enter card details. We never see your card number; Stripe handles the entire payment.

Once payment succeeds, your account flips to Pro within seconds and the new limits apply immediately. You’ll receive a receipt by email.

Switching billing cycle

You can switch from monthly to annual (or back) at any time from Settings → Billing. Switches to annual are prorated immediately. Switches to monthly take effect at the end of your current annual period.

Updating payment info

Settings → Billing → "Manage subscription" opens the Stripe Customer Portal where you can update your card, see all invoices, change billing email, and download tax-compliant PDFs.

Cancelling

Settings → Billing → "Cancel subscription". Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period — you keep Pro features until then, no charges after.

If you change your mind, you can resume the subscription any time before the period ends.

What happens after cancellation

Your account stays open on the Free plan. All trails you created on Pro remain accessible read-only — you can keep learning from them, but you can’t create new long-duration trails until you re-subscribe.

Materials you uploaded stay attached to their trails. Your XP and streak history is preserved.

Refunds

We don’t offer prorated refunds for partial periods, but we always honour mandatory consumer-protection rights and we’ll refund obvious billing mistakes promptly. Email billing@yoonle.com if something looks wrong.

Deleting your account

Settings → Account → "Delete my account". This is permanent: every trail, every score, every preference is wiped within 30 days (with a 90-day backup-rotation grace period documented in our Privacy Policy).

If you want to take your data with you first, use Settings → Export — you’ll receive a JSON archive of all your trails and progress.
