How to create one
Open the Quizzes tab (or use Cmd-K and type the topic). Enter a topic and a difficulty; on Pro pick a question count between 5 and 20. The AI drafts the questions, fact-checks itself, and you’re ready to attempt in 10–20 seconds.
Question count and daily limits
Free gets 1 standalone quiz per day, fixed at 5 questions. Pro gets 5 quizzes per day, with a question slider from 5 (quick check) to 20 (revision drill). Daily caps reset midnight UTC.
Most learners find 5 questions ideal for daily warmups and 10–15 ideal for end-of-week recall on a longer topic.
How scoring works
Every quiz attempt is scored on first-try correctness. You get XP proportional to your score and the topic difficulty (an AI evaluator scores both, same as in-trail quiz modules).
You can see your full answer history after submitting, including why each correct option was correct — a built-in mini-explanation.
How they differ from in-trail quiz modules
In-trail quizzes are part of a trail’s sequence — they unlock after the reading module they belong to and gate the next module. Standalone quizzes are unrestricted: they’re not part of any trail, they don’t affect any trail’s progress, and they don’t require you to have read anything first.
Both earn XP, both keep history forever, both feed achievements.
Sharing and exporting
Completed quizzes on Pro can be exported to PDF or Markdown via the share menu — useful for archiving a revision session or sending to a study buddy. See the "Sharing & exporting" guide for the format details.
