Delete from the mobile app
Open Yoonle on your phone, go to your Profile tab, then Settings, and tap "Delete account". You’ll be asked to confirm by typing DELETE — this is deliberate friction so an accidental tap can never wipe your account.
Delete from the web app
Sign in at app.yoonle.com, open Settings → Account, and click "Delete my account". The same typed DELETE confirmation applies.
If you have an active subscription
Deletion is blocked while a paid subscription is still actively billing, so you can never be charged for an account that no longer exists. Cancel first — via Settings → Billing on the web (Stripe), or via your App Store / Google Play subscription settings if you subscribed on mobile — then delete. If your subscription is already scheduled to end, you can delete immediately; you’ll just lose Pro access right away instead of at the period end.
Can’t sign in? Request deletion by email
Email support@yoonle.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my account". We’ll verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days, with a confirmation reply when it’s done.
Delete some of your data without deleting your account
You don’t have to delete your whole account to remove data from Yoonle. You can delete individual pieces of your work at any time, from the app or the web:
- Delete any trail, quiz, flashcard deck or map you created — its content, attached uploaded materials, and your progress on it are removed.
- Clear profile data yourself in Settings: bio, cover image, and uploaded avatar.
- For anything that isn’t self-serve (for example your activity history), email privacy@yoonle.com and we’ll handle the request within 30 days.
What gets deleted — and what doesn’t
Deleted permanently: your account and sign-in identity, profile, learning progress, XP, streaks, achievements, uploaded materials, preferences, notification history, and device push tokens. Residual copies in encrypted backups are purged within 90 days as backups rotate, as documented in our Privacy Policy.
Billing records required for tax and accounting compliance are retained by our payment processors (Stripe, Apple, Google) for the legally mandated period.
- Trails, quizzes and flashcards you created that nobody else is learning from are deleted with the account.
- Maps you created are deleted with the account.
- Public trails, quizzes and flashcards that other learners are actively enrolled in stay available to those learners — ownership transfers to the Yoonle system account and your live profile link disappears.
- Your public profile page and leaderboard entries are removed immediately.
